Courmayeur entra nel circuito BEST OF THE ALPS

La grande attenzione per le tradizioni e per la valorizzazione delle eccellenze del territorio ha permesso a Courmayeur di entrare nel prestigioso circuito Best of the Alps che, da oltre 25 anni, premia le località sciistiche internazionali più famose ed esclusive delle Alpi ed è sinonimo di eccellenza e prestigio nel settore del turismo.

Ogni località del circuito si distingue per la qualità e l’efficienza delle strutture e dei servizi, per i suggestivi paesaggi e, in particolar modo, per il rispetto del patrimonio culturale e ambientale che caratterizza ogni località.

Le parole chiave che si ritrovano nelle località Best of the Alps sono: tradizione, innovazione, natura, sostenibilità, autenticità e cosmopolitismo.

Courmayeur è la seconda località in Italia, dopo Cortina D’Ampezzo, a essere stata premiata per l’autenticità e il rispetto dei suoi luoghi, per l’attenzione costante alla sostenibilità e al rispetto della natura, nonché per essere pioniera nel mondo dell’alpinismo e dello sci.

Le destinazioni Best of the Alps sono accomunate da due caratteristiche che le contraddistinguono da qualsiasi altro luogo, ovvero dalla forte valorizzazione della tradizione e dal desiderio di raggiungere l'eccellenza. Il lavoro che ci ha portato al raggiungimento di questo importante riconoscimento è avvenuto del corso dell’estate, con la commissione che è venuta per alcuni giorni a valutare e verificare che i valori di cui Best of the Alps si fa portavoce fossero ben presenti sul nostro magnifico territorio. Come Amministrazione comunale questo ci onora e valorizza la grande offerta e qualità dei servizi che i nostri operatori sul territorio portano avanti da anni, nonché quell’identità alpina sulla quale stiamo lavorando da tempo e che vogliamo sia riconosciuta a tutti i livelli. Questo fondamentale tassello aggiunto, insieme a quello di Comunità europea dello Sport Aces, rappresentano il miglior riconoscimento del valore del nostro territorio e della sua gente, un unicum che viene ancora una volta riconosciuto a livello internazionale e che, inserendoci in questo circuito, rappresenta un'eccezionale vetrina di promozione internazionale”.

Courmayeur’s efforts in preserving its local cultural and appreciating the merits of the area has led to its inclusion in the prestige-destination list known as Best of the Alps which, for more than 25 years, has promoted the most famous and exclusive international skiing Alpine locations. Best of the Alps is synonymous with excellence and prestige in the tourism sector. 

Each BoTA destination boasts excellent and efficient infrastructure and services, magnificent landscapes and, above all, devotion to its unique cultural heritage and environment.
Key words for Best of the Alps are tradition, innovation, nature, sustainability, authenticity and cosmopolitanism. 
Courmayeur is the second location in Italy, after Cortino D’Ampezzo, to have been awarded a place for its authenticity and conservation of its attractions, for its concern with sustainability and respect for nature, as well as for being a pioneer in the worlds of mountaineering and skiing.

In response to this, Courmayeur’s Mayor Stefano Miserocchi and Councillor Ivan Giulio Parasacco, state: “With Courmayeur finally in Best of the Alps, our area is recognized globally as one the finest destinations in the Alps. Best of the Alps destinations share two characteristics that distinguish them from almost anywhere else: a strong appreciation for tradition and a desire to achieve excellence. The work that led us to achieve this important recognition was carried out during summer, with the commissioning body that came for several days to evaluate and verify that the Best of the Alps criteria were amply met in our magnificent area. In terms of municipal administration, this honors and highlights the amazing quality of services that local businesses have been providing for years, as well as our Alpine identity, which we’ve been cultivating for a long time and which we want to be recognized at all levels. This crucial new step, along with the testimonial from ACES Europe (European Communities of Sport), indicates the highest recognition of the merits of our area and its people, once again acknowledged at the international level. Our inclusion in this list of destinations represents an exceptional showcase for international promotion".
